Tamzin Takes First Place in 200m Win

Running the 200m in Velenje, Slovenia on Tuesday, the versatile Tamzin Thomas took the lead to win the race in 23.82 seconds.

This is 19 year old Tamsin’s first international competition for the year and she has already qualified for the World University Championships. The University Championships is scheduled to take place from the 19th to 30th August in Tapei.

Earlier this year, Tamzin took the 100m first place win at the ASA Speed Series in Germiston. The African Junior Champion also received the award for ‘Junior Sportswoman of the Year’ at the Cape Town regional Sport Awards.

She is currently based at the Gemona base training camp, with fellow South African and African athletes for the duration of this month.
