Prasa sent out an advisory this morning to inform commuters that the senior management has taken the decision to suspend Cape Town’s “entire train service”.
This comes after 4 trains were “set alight in Cape Town station” and it is noted that “no trains will be able to enter Cape Town”.
The Advisory sent out by PRASA reads out as follows:’
Regional service Advisory:
Fire incident at Cape Town Station (platforms 9/10/15 and 16) impacts morning peak train service.
Regional train service is suspended until further notice.
Commuters are advised to make use of own alternative transport.
